PHP Upload Limit Guide
Cloud Cubix LLC — Technical Support Knowledgebase
Quota Alert: If a file size exceeds your account's remaining disk usage quota, the upload will fail. You must either delete unnecessary files or contact Cloud Cubix to request a quota increase[cite: 3].
Note: Most often, upload failures are caused by your php.ini configuration. You likely need to increase the Max_Upload_limit variables within your cPanel environment.
I. Using the MultiPHP INI Editor
Follow these steps to increase the upload_max_filesize for your specific domain:
- Login: Access your Cloud Cubix cPanel account[cite: 3].
- Navigate: Use the search bar to find and select "MultiPHP INI Editor"[cite: 3].
- Domain Selection: Choose the specific domain or site you are currently working on (this must be done individually for each domain)[cite: 3].
- Modify Variables: Increase the following values:
upload_max_filesize: The primary limit for single file uploads.post_max_size: Should be larger than or equal to the upload size.memory_limit: Should be larger than or equal to the post size.max_execution_time: Optional, but prevents timeouts for very large files.
- Save: Click "Apply" to finalize your changes.
Pro Tip: The maximum size for these variables via cPanel is 2GB. If you need to upload files larger than this, we recommend using FTP or alternative transfer methods[cite: 3].
